Douglas R. Brown

Born in Junction City, Kansas, Doug Brown served in the United States Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993 before pursuing a career in law. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific in 2001.

Doug’s legal training included serving as a legal extern to the Honorable Howard D. McKibben in 1998 and as a law clerk to the Honorable William A. Maddox of Nevada’s First Judicial District Court from 2001 to 2002. He was admitted to the Nevada State Bar in 2001.

Before joining Benson & Bingham Injury Law, Doug was a partner and shareholder at Lemons, Grundy & Eisenberg, where he developed extensive experience in complex civil litigation. Over the course of his career, he has handled more than a dozen jury trials, along with numerous arbitrations and mediations.

Doug remains active in the legal community as a member of the Washoe County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Inns of Court (Bruce R. Thompson Chapter). He is also the founder and director of a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to public lands called Truckee River Public Waters.

Raised in Reno, Nevada, Doug still calls the area home. He enjoys fly fishing, spending time with his wife Leslie, and bird hunting with his dog, Rosebud.
