Bringing Joy to Orphans & Foster Kids with the Children’s Foundation of Las Vegas Angel Wings Annual Toy Drive (2023-2025)

Angel Wings Children’s Foundation Mission

For over 40 years, the Children’s Foundation of Las Vegas (formerly the Casa Foundation, 1983-2022) has been providing for the unmet needs of children who are either in, or have aged out of, foster care in Clark County, Nevada.

Giving Turkeys to Families in Need Through Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada (2025)

Team Benson & Bingham donated 100 frozen turkeys to Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada last year to support Thanksgiving meal distribution for vulnerable residents, including unhoused individuals and inner-city youth. Through partner networks such as Three Square Food Bank and Meals on Wheels, the turkeys reached those families most in need. We’re honored to support our community and grateful for the organizations making this effort possible.

Contributing to the End of Period Poverty with Project Marilyn (2025)

Team Benson & Bingham volunteered with Las Vegas–based nonprofit Project Marilyn, assembling over 300 period supply kits at its headquarters and warehouse. The kits—distributed to schools, libraries, and other community partners—support the organization’s mission to end period poverty across Clark County and provide essential health resources to those in need. Our team handled packing, sealing, and logistics, and we were proud to contribute to this vital effort. We look forward to partnering with Project Marilyn again.

About Project Marilyn

Founded by Wendi Schweigart in 2019 to provide free feminine hygiene products to homeless women and teens facing period poverty, Project Marilyn works to create a network of support for those in need of period supplies throughout Nevada’s various assistance programs. Period supplies are often in dire need and Project Marilyn works every day to fill the void.

Benson & Bingham Lends a Helping Hand to Green Our Planet for United Way’s 10th Annual Day of Caring (2025)

On September 19th, 2025 a volunteer team from Benson & Bingham joined the tech-driven agricultural organization Green Our Planet for a morning of pulling weeds, planting seeds, and refreshing the garden boxes and tree orchard at Deskin Elementary, a school in Northwestern Las Vegas. Together, the team rolled up their sleeves and got to work only to be surprised by the school’s garden club kids who presented us with their appreciation artwork. From thank you notes and colorful drawings to large vibrant posters we were allowed to take with us as a gift, their creativity and gratitude made the experience truly unforgettable. We were deeply thankful to have taken part in such a small part of Green Our Planet’s ongoing mission to educate children on the benefits of gardening, hydroponics, and sustainable growing, and look forward to contributing to this worthy organization again soon.

About Green our Planet

Green Our Planet brings hands-on STEM learning to schools through outdoor gardens and hydroponics labs. Their mission is to help students learn science in real-world settings, develop healthy eating habits, and build a meaningful connection to nature, while advancing joy and equity in communities by empowering people to grow food. In 2019, Green Our Planet became the first and only U.S. organization to run a school garden and hydroponics program accredited by STEMworks, a national evaluator that rigorously vets programs against high standards in science, technology, engineering, and math education.

Volunteers at Three Square Kitchen’s Food Giveaway

Members of Team Benson & Bingham returned once again to donate their time to packing up produce for underserved families at Three Square Food Bank in Las Vegas. They packed enough grocery bags to help 1,351 families in the Southern Nevada community and greatly look forward to the next opportunity to contribute again.

On December 16th, 2024 members of the Benson & Bingham Team rolled up their sleeves to give back at Three Square’s Volunteer Room. The B&B Team worked together to make a difference including packing grocery items, washing bins, cutting nets, and helping clean the facility.

On August 28th, 2023 team members from Benson & Bingham visited Three Square Food Bank’s Volunteer Room to assist with packing produce and grocery items, sorting and organizing donated food products, washing bins, cutting nets, and other special projects needed.

The Benson & Bingham Team is proud to support such an impactful organization and contribute to its mission of providing meals to those in need.

Three Square Food Kitchen Mission

Three Square Food Bank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and member of Feeding America, has been dedicated to fighting hunger in Southern Nevada since its founding in 2007. As the region’s only food bank and largest hunger-relief organization, Three Square plays a critical role in serving the community.

Supporting The Miracle League of Las Vegas

Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers is proud to support Nevada’s local communities through contributions incredible organizations like the Miracle League of Las Vegas. We believe the Miracle League is a truly worthwhile cause and our team was honored to contribute toward its mission.

The Miracle League Mission

Under the leadership of Dean Alford, the Rotary Clubs of Rockdale County and Conyers stepped forward to form the Rotary Miracle League Fund, Inc., a 501 (c) 3 organization. The new organization had two objectives: raise the funds necessary to build a special complex with facilities that meet the unique needs of the Miracle League players, and assist in outreach efforts for Miracle Leagues across the country. Presently, there are 250 Miracle League Organizations across the country including Puerto Rico, Canada, and Australia. The Miracle League is proud to serve over 200,000 children and young adults with disabilities.

Rebuilding Together Benefit Concert Sponsor

The Law Offices of Benson & Bingham were pleased to sponsor 2023’s Summer Soiree Concert featuring Ben O’Connor benefitting the local non-profit Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV). Tickets from their tour date allocated 50% of sales to RTSNV, a local organization that provides critical home repairs to low-income seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Several Team Members from Benson & Bingham attended the concert and mentioned it was a memorable evening that raised over $30,000.

The Rebuilding Together Mission

Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV) is the local affiliate of the nation’s leading nonprofit organization working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods by providing rehabilitation services free of charge to those in need. Through the support of corporate sponsors, community businesses, and the hands-on work of 200,000 volunteers, Rebuilding Together nationally rehabilitates nearly 10,000 homes each year. Founded in 1988, Rebuilding Together is made up of a network of more than 128 affiliates located in cities throughout the United States.

Fundraising for Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe Drive

Partner Ben Bingham and his wife Josephine had an amazing time at the Wine + Food Lake Tahoe Celebration, where incredible wine, gourmet food, and a breathtaking Lake Tahoe backdrop came together for a great cause. Supporting the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe made the day special beyond description, and they were happy to contribute to a cause that helps uplift and inspire young people in their community.

Aiding Homeless & At-Risk Youth With a Charity Dinner

Over the 2023 Christmas holiday season, Ben Bingham—along with the help of UNR’s very own Theta Chi—provided and served dinner at Eddy House, a safe environment for homeless and at-risk youth. We served up barbecue brisket, pork, and chicken with all the fixin’s from Dickey’s Barbecue Pit and were honored to take part in such a meaningful cause during the holidays.

Benson & Bingham Donate to Reno Eddy House (2023): In October, Ben Bingham, along with his wife and son, paid a special trip to Eddy House in Reno to fulfill much-needed items on their Amazon Wishlist. The Eddy House Mission

Eddy House creates a safe and stable environment for homeless and at-risk youth to develop the life and job skills necessary for sustainable independence with a vision to end youth homelessness in Northern Nevada.

Volunteering at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children (2022)

The Team spent the day on December 10, 2022, at St. Jude’s Ranch for Children helping to transform the campus for Christmas. In matching pink and black team tees, we split between decorating outdoors and indoors—sweeping sidewalks, setting up giant “lollipop” yard ornaments, building trees, and sorting through bins of ornaments, garland, and craft supplies to make the shared spaces merry. The photos capture the spirit of the day: smiles, teamwork, and a lot of holiday cheer. We’re grateful to St. Jude’s Ranch for welcoming us to contribute and proud to play a small part in making the season feel festive and warm for the children and staff.

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children’s mission is to transform the lives of abused and at-risk children, young adults, and families by providing the tools, support, and care they need to build new opportunities and renewed hope. Through a safe and nurturing community, the organization empowers individuals to make positive choices, overcome challenges, and create pathways toward brighter, more stable futures.

Giving Toys to The Karma Project & The Shade Tree (2020)

Benson & Bingham teamed up with The Karma Project in a special toy drive benefitting the children at The Shade Tree of Las Vegas. Donation boxes were set up in each of our 3 locations in Southern Nevada as well as 2 locations at A&M Chiropractic. The holidays are always a difficult time for families in need, and the partnership of Benson & Bingham and The Karma Project was honored to support this very deserving local charity and help put smiles on the faces of many children at Christmas.

The Shade Tree Mission

The Shade Tree’s mission is to provide safe shelter and life-changing services to women and children in crisis, including those experiencing homelessness and domestic violence, promoting stability, dignity, and self-reliance. Founded in 1990 in Southern Nevada, it is the only 24-hour accessible shelter specifically designed for women and children, offering free services such as case management, life skills and workforce readiness training, and housing assistance to help those in crisis rebuild their lives.

Collecting Shoes For Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern NV at Golden Horseshoe (2023)

One small act of kindness can greatly impact the lives of many, and in 2023, the Benson & Bingham Team rose to the occasion. In April and May 2023, we hosted our Golden Horseshoe Fundraiser, inviting clients, friends, and neighbors to donate new and gently used shoes for individuals and families in need. Collection bins were set up across our Nevada offices, and our staff helped sort, pack, and distribute the footwear to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada’s mission is to defend every child’s potential and build the biggest possible future, together, by connecting children (Littles) with dedicated adult volunteers (Bigs) for one-on-one mentoring opportunities. These mentoring relationships help children realize their full potential, strengthen their communities, build confidence, improve educational outcomes, and avoid risky behaviors.

Supporting The Karma Project (2020)

In support of Cancer Awareness Month in October 2020, Benson & Bingham Injury Law created limited-edition pink T-shirts to spark conversation, show solidarity, and raise funds. Every dollar from shirt sales was donated to The Karma Project—a Las Vegas nonprofit that mobilizes Nevadans to get involved and give back to the community. The campaign wasn’t just about the shirts; it was about raising awareness for prevention and early detection, honoring survivors, and standing with families currently in the fight against cancer.

The Karma Project Mission

The Karma Project is committed to helping those in need. The group currently runs the Karma Youth Center for at-risk teens, providing youth leadership and self-confidence workshops along with sports and academic activities for teens in Las Vegas. They do an annual sleeping bag drive that has provided over 500 sleeping bags, along with over 1,000 meals for the homeless, and have run annual campaigns to support awareness for Pride, Autism, and Breast Cancer research.
