Legal Malpractice Lawyer in Las Vegas

Professional Negligence is the proper term for attorney mal-practice.  It basically means your attorney erred when he or she shouldn’t have, and messed up your case to the point you suffered damages.  Legal malpractice means that the client must prove the original case was a viable winner, then the client must prove that because of the error(s) that the attorney made, the client lost the original case.

For example, if a client suffered an automobile accident and sought the services of attorney A, and then relied on that attorney to sue the at fault party B, but the attorney sued only the at fault party C.  Then, it is likely a lawsuit could be filed against the attorney for legal malpractice for not suing the proper defendants.  While this example is simple, some cases can be very complex.  Typical malpractice cases are the result of:  not hiring the correct experts, procedural errors with court filings, failures to serve the parties in time with lawsuits, etc.

The biggest problem creating malpractice situations are not preserving the statute of limitations.  All states have laws on when lawsuits must be filed.  In Nevada, the statute of limitations is two years for an automobile accident.  If two years go by after the date of the accident, the victim is barred from filing a lawsuit.  We call it the late statute.  Don’t delay it could cost you big!  If you believe your attorney made a big error call the law firm that specializes in personal injury civil litigation and we will gladly look over your situation.

"The Law provides injured people with Valuable Rights; but those rights can be lost by guessing the value of your case or by delay - Evidence can be lost, Witnesses can forget & the "Statue of Limitations" can expire. Delay can affect your Rights."
