11/13/2009 Internal Release Benson and Bingham’s Personal Injury Sign in Summerlin is now officially powered and illuminated representing the final step in their grand opening process.   The LED (light eliminating diodes) sign meets energy star requirements and further satisfies the corporate goal of being an energy efficient office.  As part of the ongoing efforts, Benson and Bingham’s Green Program also includes a paperless software program designed by Sharp business, using recycled paper, and using electronic means of communication over the U.S. Postal Service. The Summerlin Office is now fully staffed and serving as the headquarters for the personal injury law firm serving the greater part of Las Vegas:  Southwest, Summerlin, Summerlin Centre, the Villages of Summerlin, the North, the Northwest, and Central Las Vegas
10/30/2009 Internal Release Pennsylvania heirs settle case of deceased man run over by a tractor-trailer truck in Las Vegas at the Flying J Truck Stop.  The Court must now approve the conditional settlement, as the heirs were minor children.
10/15/2009 Internal Release Canadian driver who rear-ended local Las Vegas engineer settles case for $200,000.  The impact caused a neck whiplash injury necessitating the need for surgery.  The value was compromised given the lower impact of the collision and the degenerative conditions in the Plaintiff’s cervical spine.
10/15/2009 Internal Release Benson & Bingham’s Summerlin Law Office is officially completed with its new electric sign by YESCO.  The modern, state-of-the-art facility has been busy servicing the influx of new Summerlin clients.  Benson & Bingham now staffs nine employees at the West Las Vegas office. Benson and Bingham reached a milestone in September 2009 surpassing its record of new clients retained in a single month.
10/01/2009 Internal Release Motorcyclist who suffered 17 fractures hires Benson & Bingham to represent his interests against Rebel Oil Company when their truck ran a stop sign and collided with the biker.  The injuries ranged from a broken neck to leg fractures.
09/12/2009 Internal Release Benson and Bingham files lawsuit against Ford Motor Company for a transmission error in a Ford Explorer causing a “Park to Reverse” defective transmission movement. The vehicle went into reverse without the parking brake being depressed causing an immediate rollback of the vehicle. Caught in the path was a three year old who suffered major facial injuries, orthopedic trauma, and brain damage. Modern vehicles should have modern safety features. This accident should have been avoided.
08/20/2009 Internal Release Trucking Accident Victim involved in accident on I-80 hires Benson & Bingham to represent him for injures suffered to his neck in a 70 mph rear end accident that occurred in rural Nevada near Battle Mountain.  The force broke existing hardware from a previous surgery including titanium screws and cages.

07/15/2009 Internal Release Benson  & Bingham opens their Summerlin Office in the C2Lofts near Red Rock Casino.  The Summerlin Attorneys also have an office downtown close to the courthouse for the convenience of Green Valley and East side residents.  The Commercial space is fully built out  Class A office space with state of the art technology and modern décor.  Located directly off of I-215 and Charleston, the office is one block west of the 215 freeway near Plaza Centre Drive. 
06/07/2009 Clark County Verdict CV A523236 On Friday, June 5, 2009  at 8:30pm a Clark County Jury returned a verdict in favor of Ed and Nimfa Johnson in the amount of the $1,992,544 (reduced to $1,341,000 for contributory negligence) for an accident that occurred on State Route 160 near Las Vegas, Nevada on November 8, 2005.  The Johnson Acura vehicle literally exploded after being hit by a 30,000 pound tractor trailor driven by a Monte Calkins of the Truline Corporation.  Mr. Johnson incurred brain damage to his frontal lobes, 18 fractured ribs, 2 fractured shoulder blades, cervical complications, multiple contusions, and two rotator cuff tears. Mrs. Johnson suffered a head laceration, broken skull, a subarachnoid hemmorage, and neck and back injuries.  Over 20 witnesses were called to testify.   Lead counsel, Ben J. Bingham reported “we are happy with the result and that we finally have resolution.  It has been a long road, but justice finally served.” Benson and Bingham will also be seeking attorney fees and costs associated with the litigation.

Benson & Bingham went to contract on their west side office located in the heart of Summerlin Centre.  The new office location is in the gateway to Red Rock National Park and is easily accessible from I-215 and Charleston.  The Class A office space now adds a new dimension to the law firm servicing the needs of Las Vegas clientele from both their downtown office located off East Charleston/10th Street and this new location formerly known as the c2Lofts commercial building.  The new address is 11441 Allerton Park Drive, Suite 100 Las Vegas, Nevada 89135; the new office will open in approximately 90 days.  Clients may schedule personal injury consultations at either location.

Benson and Bingham filed suit against Ford Motor Company and Evenflo Car seats in a roll over case claiming the lives of three people including a six month old. The products liability action alleges roof crush and defectively designed baby seats; the remaining heir is the Father of the deceased child and deceased spouse, and the sister who lost her mother and minor sister in the accident.

Benson & Bingham was hired by a female guest who broke her patella/knee at the Eastside Cannery Hotel’s steakhouse. It is alleged the slippery substance was some type of food spilled by a restaurant staff member.

Benson & Bingham was hired by an Arizona college student for breaking his arm in an altercation at the Wynn Hotel. The assault and battery went too far when the man was detained for unintended and minor property damage. It was a clear case of too much force by a security officer.

Las Vegas Personal Injury Attorney Ben Bingham, Esq. of Benson and Bingham settled a pedestrian accident case for $295,000 today after his elderly client was ran over in a crosswalk causing major orthopedic injuries by a commercial truck.  The client has titanium rods in his legs.   "There were a variety of factors that went into our settlement decision.  We had a preferential trial setting coming up in a month, and we knew it was not just a matter of winning, but how much would they have to pay; my client is glad to move on with his life and is happy with the outcome."

Benson and Bingham of Las Vegas, Nevada and The Lawrence Law Firm of Texas have joined forces to prosecute a Ford Rollover case occurring in Sonora, Mexico.  The lawsuit to be filed claims misrepresentation, strict products liability, negligence and other causes of action relating to an August 2008 rollover that killed two persons including a minor child and her mother.  The case involves a 1998 Ford Explorer.

Joseph L. Benson II, Esq. of Benson & Bingham today settled a case for $800,000 for a rollover automobile accident case occuring in 2005. Their client suffered a cervical fusion and was unable to work for the past three years. Due to a confidentiality agreement, the exact terms, and defendant name may not be disclosed.
