Benson and Bingham’s Personal Injury Sign in Summerlin is now officially powered and illuminated representing the final step in their grand opening process. The LED (light eliminating diodes) sign meets energy star requirements and further satisfies the corporate goal of being an energy efficient office. As part of the ongoing efforts, Benson and Bingham’s Green Program also includes a paperless software program designed by Sharp business, using recycled paper, and using electronic means of communication over the U.S. Postal Service. The Summerlin Office is now fully staffed and serving as the headquarters for the personal injury law firm serving the greater part of Las Vegas: Southwest, Summerlin, Summerlin Centre, the Villages of Summerlin, the North, the Northwest, and Central Las Vegas. |

Benson and Bingham files lawsuit against Ford Motor Company for a transmission error in a Ford Explorer causing a “Park to Reverse” defective transmission movement. The vehicle went into reverse without the parking brake being depressed causing an immediate rollback of the vehicle. Caught in the path was a three year old who suffered major facial injuries, orthopedic trauma, and brain damage. Modern vehicles should have modern safety features. This accident should have been avoided. |

CV A523236 On Friday, June 5, 2009 at 8:30pm a Clark County Jury returned a verdict in favor of Ed and Nimfa Johnson in the amount of the $1,992,544 (reduced to $1,341,000 for contributory negligence) for an accident that occurred on State Route 160 near Las Vegas, Nevada on November 8, 2005. The Johnson Acura vehicle literally exploded after being hit by a 30,000 pound tractor trailor driven by a Monte Calkins of the Truline Corporation. Mr. Johnson incurred brain damage to his frontal lobes, 18 fractured ribs, 2 fractured shoulder blades, cervical complications, multiple contusions, and two rotator cuff tears. Mrs. Johnson suffered a head laceration, broken skull, a subarachnoid hemmorage, and neck and back injuries. Over 20 witnesses were called to testify. Lead counsel, Ben J. Bingham reported “we are happy with the result and that we finally have resolution. It has been a long road, but justice finally served.” Benson and Bingham will also be seeking attorney fees and costs associated with the litigation. |

The new office location is in the gateway to Red Rock National Park and is easily accessible from I-215 and Charleston. The case involves a 1998 Ford Explorer. |
