Henderson Pediatrician Accused Of Medical Malpractice

November 20th, 2012 No comments

Since the Mexican American War when Nevada, California, Utah and Arizona were ceded to the United States, the West has been plagued by charlatans selling all manner of healing tonics and elixirs. The travelling medicine show came to small towns with hucksters selling cure-alls that were promised to rid the taker of arthritis, lice, eczema, hangovers and more. While some of the snake oil sold contained now-illicit drugs like cocaine, heroin or marijuana, most of the drugs were panaceas, which never cured the patient and possibly reduced symptoms due to placebo effects. While many modern Americans laugh at the thought of being taken by a travelling snake oil salesman, there are many in our midst who sell miracle claims even today. Sure, these miracle cures are not sold in rural towns at travelling road shows, instead today, they are prescribed by unscrupulous physicians not interested in healing, but instead separating the sick, infirm and desperate with their hard earned cash. If you have been a medical malpractice victim in Las Vegas, contact Benson and Bingham for a free legal consultation today.

Modern-day snake oil salesmen use miracle drugs like human growth hormone, anabolic steroids and even stem cells to dupe their unwitting and often ill and desperate victims. While HGH, Steroids and Stem cells are purported to possessing miraculous healing qualities, their illegal nature necessitates their sale on the black market. When drugs are sold on the black market, the user can never be sure of what they are receiving is safe, effective or even as advertised. If you have been a victim of medical malpractice in Nevada, contact Benson and Bingham today.

In a recent case, a Henderson pediatrician has been accused of selling patients fraudulent stem cells. The 51-year old physician, Ralph Conti, bilked patients and investors of over $ 1 million for his stem cell treatments, treatments that were not tested on animals, licensed by the US Food and Drug Administration or with a control group. If you have been involved in a Clark County Medical malpractice case, Benson and Bingham can represent you.

Benson and Bingham,  a premiere Las Vegas personal injury law firm, has been representing Nevadans and visitors to Nevada in personal injury cases since 2003.

2008 Las Vegas Hepatitis Outbreak Calls Into Question Safety of Las Vegas Gastrointerologists

In February 2008, one of Las Vegas’s biggest health crises came to light. Two endoscopy clinics in Sin City had potentially infected one hundred and fourteen Las Vegans with Hepatitis C by the repeated reuse of anesthesia in injection vials and even needles with multiple patients. By not following safe injection practices the 14 doctors and nurse anesthetists had potentially infected thousands of Clark County residents with the blood borne disease that many doctors believe is impossible to completely cure and to which there is no vaccine. If you have been infected by Hepatitis C in Las Vegas, contact the attorneys of Benson and Bingham to discuss your case. The attorneys at Benson and Bingham have significant experience with Las Vegas bad drug and Southern Nevada medical malpractice cases.

The fourteen doctors deemed responsible for the Hepatitis C outbreak amounted for almost twenty five percent of gastroenterologists in the Las Vegas area.

Since nearly one quarter of the Southern Valleys’ doctors who practice medicine on the small intestine, stomach, spleen, liver and other digestive organs, is it safe to visit a Las Vegas gastroenterologist? In fact, many patients in Las Vegas have been postponing stomach surgeries and procedures. It is common knowledge that other than the owner of the Endoscopy Center of So. Nevada, Dipak Desai, has been potentially the only person held accountable for the Las Vegas Hepatitis C outbreak. In fact, some groups and medical industry watchdogs have begun to call for sanctions and disciple for the other doctors who worked for the clinics that perpetrated the Clark County Hepatitis C outbreak. If you contracted Hepatitis or another disease due to Las Vegas medical malpractice or negligence, contact Benson and Bingham today for a free legal consultation.

Benson and Bingham is a Southern Nevada personal injury law firm that has significant experience in Clark County medical malpractice and almost all other Las Vegas personal injury cases. In fact, in 2010 and 2011, our efforts secured over $24,000,000 for our clients!

NV For-Profit Nursing Homes Show Care Deficiencies

December 31st, 2011 No comments

UC San Francisco recently released a report comparing the quality-of-care in nursing homes across the country. The report compared the ten largest for profit nursing homes with the care in other for profits, non-profits and even government run homes. In general, the report’s findings showed a  better quality of care and higher staffing levels at non-profit and government run facilities. If you believe your loved one has received sub-par care in a Nevada nursing home, contact us today.

In the ten largest nursing homes, the report found that patients had more complaints and incidents of pressure sores, weight loss, falls, infections, mistreatment by staff, unsanitary conditions and more. These higher incident rates stem from lower staffing levels at large, chain operations where patient care is secondary to making a profit. Please contact Benson and Bingham at Bensonbingham.com or 702-382-9797 to discuss the neglect of any Nevadan in a Silver State nursing home.

Benson and Bingham is a full-service law firm that strives to ensure our clients are entirely satisfied by our representation. Declining NV Autopsy Rates Hide Malpractice Deaths

December 23rd, 2011 No comments

As autopsy rates across the nation continue to plunge, health care professionals are losing valuable learning opportunities as the families of those who passed away desperately search for answers. Doctors and hospitals across Nevada have shied away from the practice because it can highlight areas of malpractice. If you believe you or a relative have been injured while seeking medical care, contact us today.

Due to decreased insurance coverage, autopsies are now only routinely performed when foul play is suspected. This, however, reduces the opportunities for those who may have been fatally injured by medical malpractice in Nevada to discover the actual cause of death. If you suspect malpractice, contact us and we can help ensure all correct procedures are followed.

Benson and Bingham’s website, www.bensonbingham.com has significant information on family and patient rights. Please contact us today to begin the discussion of your case.
