Vehicle Accident Injures 4, Kills 3 in Las Vegas

Head-on collision auto accidents can be among the worst possible vehicle accidents for injuries and fatalities. This type of accident is so much more dangerous because the speed of the vehicles that hit each other is magnified when they are travelling in opposite directions, thereby compounding each other’s speed. Often times, these accidents occur because of one driver driving the wrong way – either down a one way street or driving on the wrong side. While these types of scenarios can make for adrenaline pumping sequences in highly-choreographed action movies, in real life they often end in terrible tragedy. Such was the case with a recent wrong-way crash in Las Vegas that critically injured four people and killed three others. If you’re ever injured in a terrible, tragic car accident like this, or a loved one is killed, call Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law. We can take care of your case swiftly and effectively, giving you and your loved ones time to heal, and grieve, without worrying about legal ramifications.

Good Samaritan Injured in Hit and Run Accident in Las Vegas

They say no good deed goes unpunished and unfortunately we have a new piece of evidence for that claim, stemming from a recent injury accident in Las Vegas where a man who stopped to help another driver who had been in a car accident was hit by a third vehicle as he was helping the woman. In a cruel twist of fate, and terrible piece of irony, the car that hit this good Samaritan did not stop to help or even see if the man was OK – the vehicle drove away, making this a hit and run accident. The driver of the vehicle that caused the hit and run injury accident in Southern Nevada, a white Mitsubishi, was eventually apprehended, however, and arrested. His vehicle had quite fittingly gotten a flat tire, presumably from the accident, and he and his passenger were found changing it in a parking lot off of Interstate 95, on Jones Boulevard. If you’re in an injury accident in Southern Nevada and need an attorney, call Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law to get the best service, and the best compensation possible, in the Las Vegas Valley.

The original accident occurred early this morning on the Decatur Boulevard on-ramp to Interstate 95. A woman, who was allegedly driving under the influence in Las Vegas, is reported to have lost control of her green Toyota Scion and hit a concrete wall. She did not sustain injuries in the crash. The victim of the hit and run stopped to help, and was then hit by the aforementioned white Mitsubishi sometime just after 4 in the morning. The man was severely injured from this auto accident, and taken to University Medical Center in Southern Nevada. He was listed in critical condition as of our most recent update. If you are hurt in an accident like this and need a lawyer, Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law should be your first call. We can not only take care of your case, securing the best possible outcome for your claim, we take care of you as a valued client and customer.

Restaurant Reopened Following Injury Accident — Las Vegas

Finally some happy news from a story we’ve written about several times involving an injury accident in Las Vegas when a car crashed into a local eatery. The restaurant, The Egg and I, located on West Sahara Avenue near the intersection of Avila Street, had been shuttered temporarily over a month ago because of damages to the facility. The restaurant was closed after a sensational accident left 10 people injured in Southern Nevada after a car lost control, due to the driver allegedly driving under the influence in Clark County, and crashed into the busy local eatery during business hours. In a silver lining for the restaurant owners, the forced closure gave them the opportunity to do some much needed interior remodeling of the restaurant. They also saw the need for some additional protection on the patio, placing some enormous boulders there as protection and insurance against something like this ever happening again. If you’re in an injury accident and need a lawyer in Las Vegas, call Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law for a free consultation. Our legal experts understand personal injury law, and can get you the best possible compensation for your injury.

The injury accident in Clark County took place on April 1st. The 18 year old driving the vehicle has been charged with driving drunk, as well as attempting to flee the scene of the accident following the accident where the vehicle he was driving slammed into the restaurant. As previously mentioned, 10 people were injured, some of them seriously, and taken to various hospitals in the area. Some of the people who suffered injuries were purportedly trapped under the vehicle where it came to a rest inside the restaurant itself. Do you need a lawyer – were you injured in an accident like this in Southern Nevada? One Dead in Vehicle Accident in North Las Vegas

April 21st, 2013 No comments

A tragic accident occurred in North Las Vegas on Friday night, per a spokesperson from that police department. A man was killed as he was driving his vehicle as a result of a suspected accident due to another driver driving under the influence of alcohol in North Las Vegas. Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law have been representing people hurt in accidents in the Las Vegas Valley since 2003. If you or a loved one is injured, or god forbid killed, in an accident anywhere in Southern Nevada, call our experienced legal team today. We can help.

The accident in North Las Vegas occurred sometime in the early afternoon on Friday. Officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department were called to the scene of the accident in question somewhat after 5pm on Friday, April 19th. The incident occurred on Craig Road, immediately to the east of Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard, at the intersection of Home Depot Drive. The 54 year old man was deceased when police arrived on the scene. He was stuck inside of the vehicle he had been driving, a Ford sedan, which had crashed into a light post in North Las Vegas.

Early indications of the investigation led police to believe that the Ford sedan was making a right turn off of Craig Road and onto Home Depot Drive when it was struck from behind by a Hyundai Sport Utility Vehicle, which was being driven by a 27 year old woman. This auto vehicle accident in Clark County made the Ford lose control and strike the light pole where police later found the vehicle, with the deceased inside. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident, the Hyundai SUV, was booked on a felony charge.

When accidents happen, picking up the pieces can sometimes be just as painful as the accident itself. Pedestrian injured in vehicle hit-and-run accident in Clark County

April 20th, 2013 No comments

Las Vegas and Clark County in general are dangerous places for pedestrians. Despite much attention and attempts at prevention from police and other law enforcement and public safety agencies and groups, there still remain a high number of pedestrians involved in auto accidents in Southern Nevada. From the middle of August, 2008, to the summer of 2011, for example, there were 2,060 accidents in the Las Vegas valley involving cars and pedestrians. Should a vehicle ever strike you as you’re walking in a pedestrian right of way anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley, call Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law. We know your rights, and can make sure that you are adequately covered in the event of an accident in which you are not at fault. If you’re not sure if you’re at fault, call our legal team today. For instance, you may not know that pedestrians have the right of way at most intersections that do not have traffic lights, whether the intersection is marked with a crosswalk or not.

In a recent example of a pedestrian accident, a man was injured in Las Vegas early in the morning last Friday, April 19th, at 3:43am. The accident occurred where Ocean Drive meets East Tropicana Avenue. Law enforcement officials are still in search of the vehicle and its driver following the accident. A man, aged 25 years old, was in the process of crossing Ocean Drive on foot. He was struck by a car that was coming from the west, and going east, on Tropicana Avenue. The driver then appears to have fled the scene of this pedestrian accident in Southern Nevada. Some early reports indicate that the type of vehicle involved in this crash closely resembled a taxi. The 25 year old man who was struck by this vehicle was said to have sustained damage to his face, as well as several broken bones. He is said to be recovering from these non-critical, nor likely to be fatal, injuries.

Unfortunately, these types of injury accidents – those involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian in Clark County – are all too common. Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law have been helping the victims of accidents like this get the care and coverage they deserve since the law office opened in 2003. They know the law, they know insurance companies, and they know how to make sure you get taken care of following a horrible occurance such as this story. To begin down the road to recovery and getting the compensation you need to recover at your own pace, call Benson and Bingham Attorneys at Law today.

Police issue tickets to help prevent injury accidents in Southern Nevada

If you’re like many people, you do not take follow many seemingly minor traffic laws, signals, or signs to the absolute letter of the law. It may be that you routinely drive several miles an hour over the speed limit; many people drive a standard five miles per hour over the limit, or more – you’ll see many minor speeding violations on Clark County’s highways. Perhaps you don’t always and every single time come to a complete and utter stop – a traffic violation in Las Vegas, as it is everywhere. Maybe every so often you will push it a little bit on a yellow light, maybe your transgression is sending an occasional text. Whatever the infraction, if it leads to an accident in Southern Nevada, or even just a traffic ticket, Benson & Bingham can help.

These types of minor infractions are actually the cause of a good many auto accidents in the Las Vegas valley. So much so that Henderson police will be spending some of March specifically patrolling and checking intersections that are particularly busy in an effort to issue tickets to drivers in the hopes of promoting safer driving and cutting down on injuries in this Clark County city. Injury accidents are incredibly common, and Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law are experienced lawyers in Clark County at dealing with the types of legal battles that can arise from these types of accidents, and will make sure that you’re covered and have the best representation and outcomes possible.

Henderson police said in a press release that a similar ticketing program caught close to 400 people and resulted in tickets for running red lights, and 230 additional tickets for mobile phone usage without a hands-free device. They park unmarked police cars and officers at the aforementioned busy intersections, who then use their radios to call patrol cars in the area to stop the sighted vehicle, and write up a ticket. They look for people committing red light violations, tailgating, not stopping for people on foot, changing lanes illegally or just dangerously. These types of traffic violations actually lead to many, many of the injuries in Southern Nevada car accidents.

Benson & Bingham Attorneys at Law is a law firm that handles all kinds of auto accidents, injury accidents, slip and fall injuries, workplace accidents, and more in Southern Nevada. Our experienced attorneys will make sure that you are taken care of in the event of an accident, no matter what or what happened.
