In mid-May, the US CPSC and Aqua-Leisure announced a recall of children’s trampolines sold at Toys “R” Us across the United States and Nevada. Approximately 40,000 of the trampolines were manufactured in China and sold by Aqua-Leisure of Avon, MA. The metal holding the trampoline together can wear and break, causing the user to fall or be cut. Four instances of the metal breakdown have been reported to the manufacturer and no one has been injured. The brand name of the trampoline is First Fitness and has the model number FF690-2TR. The trampolines retailed for as little as $5 and as much as $70. There are 10 Toys “R” Us retail outlets in Nevada where the defective trampolines may have been sold.
